TVXQ’s Changmin loses weight?

And it's not to get healthy...

More sad news comes from the k-pop titans known asTVXQ. Amidst all the drama and controversy surrounding the group, it looks like member Changmin has been under stress and has been losing weight as a result.

A picture taken on Christmas Eve at Gimpo Airport shows a dull, lanky, and dark Changmin.

The picture has been circulated through fan portals of TVXQ and unhappy fans have been commenting, "Changmin is getting too thin," "You need to eat more food," and "His already small face looks even smaller now."

With the world in the dark about how the situation with TVXQ and SM Entertainment is playing out, news like this isn't helping encourage fans. Hopefully 2010 will bring some happier news for Cassiopeians.

More ZE:A jacket photos revealed

Upcoming nine-member group Child of Empire --or should we say ZE:A for short now-- has confirmed a January 7 debut and is quickly grabbing the attention of many with their photo releases.

Recently, more jacket photos from the boys' upcoming album Nativity have been revealed, check them out here:

I can't help but be reminded of SS501's REBIRTH album cover by ZE:A's smoky concept in these photos, which I'm sure many girls already love. With the dark, sexy & powerful style exhibited in these photos, some are speculating that the boys' debut track will take a similar route as well.

After Star Empire announced Child of Empire's new title "ZE:A," many were curious about what this new name stood for. It turns out that ZE:A originates from 제국의 아이들, or Jaeguk eh Ah-e-deul / J e A, which is shorthand for "Children of Empire" (the original name) in Korean. These rookies will technically be debuting under ZE:A instead of "Child of Empire," but the full name 제국의 아이들 (now officially changed to the grammatically-correct "Children of Empire") will still be kept.

I'm not sure why, but I kind of liked the Engrish of "Child of Empire"; maybe it's because we've gotten accustomed to it over the past few months, but it seems less awkward than "Children of Empire"... but that's just me.

Child of Empire is set to release their first track teaser on January 5 and the full song on January 7. Stay tuned for more on ZE:A/CoE only at allkpop.

Kim Bum is #1 in Japan

Though he may have disappointed netizens in his native country, actor-turned-singer Kim Bum has been doing quite well on online music charts overseas in Japan.

His first single, Christmas Eve's Sky, has finally dominated the #1 position on J-pop charts since its release back in November. To show love for his fans, he flew over to Japan to commemorate the release of his first single and celebrate Christmas with his overseas supporters at a dinner show.

A representative from King Kong Entertainment stated,

"We were not expecting the single to even reach the number one position after its release. The results even surprised the officials! We would like to thank his fans and he will make sure to work hard in the future."

SHINee performs Get Down on Music Core

Earlier today on MBC Music Core, the boys of SHINee came on the stage performing Get Down. They got down and performed it for about a minute before switching up to their usual Ring Ding Dong performance.

Mnet to kick off the new year with Taegoon documentary

On January 14, 2009, solo artist Taegoon made his debut with Call Me, calling the attention of many with his hot music video that starred TVXQ's Jaejoong and actress Park Shin Hye. Since then, Taegoon has released three albums, charmed his way into many fans' hearts both in Korea and overseas, and been dubbed the "2nd Rain" for his dance skills.

A year and two days after Taegoon's debut, Mnet will be airing My Name is Taegoon, a feature documentary with interviews, MVs, live performances from his performance at Sanrio Puroland (Japan) and other exclusive footage from Taegoon's career over 2009. The documentary trilogy will be broadcast on Friday's over a three-week period on on January 16, January 23 and January 30.

TVXQ’s Break Out Covers

The boys of TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki are scheduled to release a new single in Japan titled Break Out on January 27th, 2010. This new single will be the main theme song of a new drama series by NHK titled “Tomehane (Let us jump together)! Suzusato High School, Calligraphy Club."

Super Junior M To Make September Comeback ?

The latest word in the rumor mill has it that Super Junior's third spawn subgroup, SJ-M, will be making a comeback on September 10 in Shanghai! One of the Chinese members, Zhoumi, supposedly confirmed in a response to a fan that the seven-man group was in Korea and that recording was already finished. We have yet to hear an official statement on this, but there's enough talk to beckon a bit of curiosity.

Even if this turns out to be a fanmade rumor, I daresay it's time for SM Ent to put some focus on its other groups. SM's been dabbling its groups in foreign affairs, with international girl group f(x), SHINee, SNSD and DBSK; poor Super Junior M has been pretty quiet for 2009 thus far. This may be wishful thinking, but I'd like to see SJ-M, CSJH etc make true comebacks within the year. I myself am not a huge on these groups, but they undoubtedly have fan followings that are probably frustrated with their stars seemingly being put on the backburner. Is anyone else anticipating the return of this Korean-Chinese boy group, or CSJH for that matter?

MV Kiss Lee Min Ho and 2NE's Sandara Park is OUT !!

 

It's shaping up to be a great day for both Lee Min Ho and 2NE1's Sandara Park fans out there because the music video for Cass Beer titled "Kiss" (sung by Dara & featuring CL of 2NE1) has finally been released! Dara's first single is definitely receiving a hot response - from the great reaction to the CF/teaser to tipping the Heartbreaker King off his music chart reign, Dara's single is paving its way to success.

The story line is pretty riveting & I won't give away too much right now, but there's a suspenseful ending that has left many viewers confused. People are thinking there will be a part 2 to this music video to clarify the mysteries this video left us off with.

 

Based on the scene at the concert, Lee Min Ho and Dara must have wreaked of beer for days. However, the dynamic duo made for an chemistry between them seems to jump right off my computer screen. Just imagine if this MV recreated a fashion trend with can tops for rings... it'd be the new rage!

I must also add that Dara is quite the actress; her acting skills far exceeded my expectations. Her previous experiences paid off well.

DBSK & 2PM May Not Perform At Dream Concert 2009

Up to 15 artists including DBSK, 2PM, Big Bang, SNSD, MC Mong, Jewelry, Super, Junior, SHINee and 2NE1 were said to be performing at this year's Dream Concert in Korea. But after recent events, DBSK and 2PM have said that they are unsure whether or not they will be performing.

As you all may already know, DBSK's Micky Yoochun, Xiah Junsu, and Youngwoong Jaejoong are having some problems with their record label, SM Entertainment, regarding their salaries. A representative for DBSK has said,  

"We know that the expectations for Dream Concert 2009 were huge for the DBSK fans. However, resolving this case with SM amicably is our first priority, for the sake of the future expansion of the Korean music industry." and "We all hope that the boys will quickly reclaim their titles as the kings of K-Pop."

2PM, as you all know, is not faring well at the moment neither, with the resignation of OMG OUR JAEBEOM OPPA TT__TT their ex-leader Jaebeom. Jaebeom has already left for Seattle and was reported saying that he'd return after he studies music in the States. And with the need of a new leader for 2PM, JYPE has stated that all of 2PM's future activities have been canceled as of now and that nothing is certain for the boys as of yet.

Dream Concert will still take place as planned, although the lineup for this year is a bit unclear. Dream Concert 2009 will take place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on October 10th from 6:00PM. Last year's Dream Concert was a mega success but that seems like a Distant Dream...

I'm not sure if I want to see 2PM perform at Dream Concert though, without Jaebeom. What do you guys think?
